Merry Christmas (and a question)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

So I can never take a break from school which is probably why I am burned out...BIG TIME. I need some Language Arts help from all of my blogger friends. I am starting novels in a couple of weeks. What are some you have done? I am differentiating my novels so I would need chapter books ranging from 3rd grade-6th grade levels. What are some you have used that the kids really enjoy and get into?
Thanks :)

  1. I teach 4th - My read alouds this year that the kids enjoy are Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing, Beezus and Ramona (we compare those 2 - brothers/sisters/old/young), Lemonade War (Business unit), Chocolate Touch, Chocolate Fever (we compare those 2). After break I start Mixed Up Files of Basil E. Frankweiler, then we start Island of the Blue Dolphins when we start the Survival unit. Last year I ended the year with Old Yeller... that was a mistake - won't do that again, I was the one bawling... maybe Stone Fox instead.

  2. Hello! I am also a 4th grade teacher and your newest follower! Two new novels that I did this year with lit circle groups were Out of my Mind and The Adventures of Edward Tulane. The students really enjoyed both of these books!
