Two new novels that I did this year with lit circle groups were Out of my Mind and The Adventures of Edward Tulane. The students really enjoyed both of these books!
Bethany
FabandFunin4th!FabandFunin4th!https://www.blogger.com/profile/12753508171089764420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-737107857058857683.post-60810313814118092692012-12-25T22:36:10.232-05:002012-12-25T22:36:10.232-05:00I teach 4th - My read alouds this year that the ki...I teach 4th - My read alouds this year that the kids enjoy are Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing, Beezus and Ramona (we compare those 2 - brothers/sisters/old/young), Lemonade War (Business unit), Chocolate Touch, Chocolate Fever (we compare those 2). After break I start Mixed Up Files of Basil E. Frankweiler, then we start Island of the Blue Dolphins when we start the Survival unit. Last year I ended the year with Old Yeller... that was a mistake - won't do that again, I was the one bawling... maybe Stone Fox instead.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16147574424558973052noreply@blogger.com
